Stuart is a partner and shareholder at Chestnut Cambronne. His practice emphasizes succession planning for individuals and businesses, including estate, disability, Medical Assistance planning and real estate. A native of Superior, Wisconsin, Stuart received his B.A. Degree from the University of Minnesota, Phi Beta Kappa, and his J.D. Degree from William Mitchell College of Law.

Stuart is distinguished as a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, one of approximately 2,300 lawyers worldwide admitted to membership in the College. He has also been designated a "Super Lawyer," as well as one of the Top 40 Estate Planning Lawyers in the State of Minnesota, by Minnesota Law and Politics magazine.

Stuart is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association Elder Law Governing Council, in which he is a past chairman of the Section. He is also a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association Probate and Trust Law, Real Estate and Elder Law Sections. He is a frequent speaker at legal education seminars and for community organizations. Stuart is the author of The Practice of Elder Law, 29 William Mitchell Law Review 1. He also serves in leadership positions on a number of boards for religious and charitable organizations.
